Qualifications

• National Diploma / BTech / Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Professional registration (e.g. SACQSP) advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience
• Civil, building, electrical and/or mechanical project experience
• Contractor-side experience valuable

Technical & Commercial Skills

• Cost estimates and budgets
• Quantity take-offs
• Payment certificates, valuations and progress claims
• Variations
• Subcontractor procurement
• Cost-to-complete and forecast final costs
• Knowledge of SACQ / COC / NEC / FIDIC contract forms
• Contractual notices, claims and extensions of time (EOTs)
• Tender documentation
• Excel and QS software proficiency
• Contract documentation
